Did You Know TopCoat® F11® Can Be Used on Vinyl Wraps?

Vinyl wraps are all the rave these days as they add a unique look to a vinyl-wrapped vehicle. Vehicle vinyl wraps also serve multiple purposes of helping to protect the paint underneath, acting as a barrier that helps resist and mitigate damage from rocks and road debris. However, caring for the vinyl wrap can be challenging as you cannot use normal vehicle wax or sealers as most will damage the vinyl wrap requiring you to remove it and re-wrap your vehicle – which can cost thousands of dollars.

Luckily, TopCoat® F11® can be safely used on vinyl wraps to protect it from the elements and extend its life. Yes, that’s right, TopCoat® F11® and TopCoat® F11PRO® can be safely used to seal and protect vinyl wraps, just like how good quality sealants do on the surface of a painted vehicle.

Why would you want to seal a vinyl wrap?

Using a sealer like TopCoat® F11® or TopCoat® F11PRO® on your vinyl wrap will help make the surface hydrophobic without altering its appearance. Furthermore, sealing the vinyl wrap using TopCoat® F11® or TopCoat® F11PRO® will apply all the groundbreaking technologies to not only resist water, dirt, dust, and grime but it will make the vinyl wrap surface easier to maintain by keeping it cleaner longer, as long as 12+ months using TopCoat® F11PRO®. Just like waxing or sealing the paint on your vehicle to keep it clean longer, you’ll want to give your vinyl wrap the same treatment!

What does traditional Wax or Sealants do to Vinyl Wraps?

Many waxes and sealants on the market are made from ingredients that will likely cause damage to a vinyl wrap because of the material that the vinyl is made of. Furthermore, vinyl wraps cannot be polished or buffed in the normal sense as doing such may make the vinyl wrap finish turn colors, fade, create glossy patches, dull, gloss matte finishes, scratch, or even rip the vinyl. It’s not worth the risk of using traditional wax or sealants on vinyl wraps!

Safely Protect your Vinyl Wrap using TopCoat® F11® or TopCoat® F11PRO®!

You can still protect your vinyl wrap with the proper sealant, such as TopCoat® F11® or TopCoat® F11PRO®. Because TopCoat® F11® and TopCoat® F11PRO® are water-based formulas that have no solvents, abrasives, or VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and includes many advanced technologies to protect virtually any type of surface, you don’t have to worry about it being applied to the textured finish of your vinyl wrap. Moreover, it doesn’t matter what type of vinyl wrap color, texture, or thickness of your vinyl wrap – TopCoat® F11® and TopCoat® F11PRO® are still safe for use to protect and prolong the life of your vinyl wrap.
