Crystaleen® is a permanent coating that bonds molecularly to the surface and is a permanent coating/sealant. F11® can be applied directly over dust dirtt without scratching, due to the slick additives that encapsulate dirt. Crystaleen® needs to be applied to a clean, prepped surface. F11® repels dust and dirt because of its slickness, while Crystaleen® carries a positive charge at the surface to ionically repel dust and dirt! F11® is the best way to clean the surface and add an extra shine over your Crystaleen®, they go very well together in maintaining any surface!
Yes, Crystaleen® can be applied over F11®, or F11PRO®, however we recommend waiting at least 30 days after the last application to apply Crystaleen®. Then you can follow the preparation and application steps as usual!
Yes, Crystaleen® can be applied to paint protection film for added protection.
80% of the coating cures instantly, the rest takes 5-7 days for hard curing. However, you don't need to do anything special during the curing period. You can get it wet immediately, or apply another coat, without having to wait!
Crystaleen® can be applied to almost anything! We don't recommend it on leather or soft materials like dashboards. It won't do much for tires, but it's great on rims! If you're wanting to use it on older materials that are heavily oxidized, try it in an inconspicuous spot FIRST to make sure you get the desired results you want. Vinyls, plastic, glass, chrome etc are safe! Heat doesn't bother it at all, and it protects against corrosion!
It lasts a minimum of five years! It's an aerospace coating, the backbone of our technology that was used on the space shuttle! It will not wear off because it is bonded on a molecular level. Nothing will remove it, besides abrasion.
Surface Preparation:
The surface to be coated must be clean, dry and free from dirt, oily residue, grime, loose oxidation, spores (mildew) or any other surface contaminate that could affect product performance. It is imperative to fully and completely clean the surface, as CRYSTALEEN® adheres by chemical and mechanical bonding and must gain proper contact with the surface.
Mixing:
CRYSTALEEN® is packaged in two separate bottles labeled Stage 1 (Sealant-Glassifier®), and Stage 2 (Curing Solution-Hardener), without exposure to air. Shake Stage 1 (Sealant) vigorously for a minute or two until all white sediment is mixed thoroughly in the solution and in suspension. Stage 2 (Curing Solution) does not need to be shaken. Once both parts are ready, attach the spray trigger to the bottles by puncturing the seal with the down spout of the trigger, then threading the trigger on clockwise until the neck of the trigger is tightly secure to the bottle.
DIRECTIONS:
**Sealant-Glassifier™: Stage 1 **
Curing Solution-Hardener: Stage 2

TopCoat released Crystaleen into the retail market so the do-it-yourselfers had a real professional ceramic coating, at a fraction of the cost. Since then, the benefits and features of Crystaleen has set an industry benchmark that many are still trying to achieve. Crystaleen repels dust & dirt particles, protecting against environmental exposures, UV degradation, & fallout to ensure a long lasting, durable barrier for years of protection.
I’ve been using the F11 for years and loving the ease of application along with the protection, But! The Crystaleen is crazy. I have now applied the Crystaleen to both my daughters cars and my wife car. The application process is not as easy but I think the protection is incredible. Makes the car so much easier to keep clean. I applied 2 coats to all 3 cars, 2nd coat is way easier to apply, and the water just sheds off after 4 months.
Very easy to apply and results were amazing Applied to a new Ionic 5-electric Looks better than factory after completing Thanks
Just finished putting Crystaleen on my 16 Ram. Pretty happy with the result but even on my single cab short bed truck I barely had enough to do one coat. Didn’t seem like I was using to much but still barely finished. Are others able to get more than one coat from a single kit? Also wondering what the cure time is for it. My truck has to set outside and it may rain tonight. Will that harm the fresh application?
Easy to use , great result.
I have been using F11 on my 2016 F350 pickup for years and receive compliments everytime I drive it, some people swear it’s a brand new truck. I didn’t think it was possible to make my truck look any better until I used Crystaleen. It is a little more work to apply but given the amount of time it last its well worth it. My only complaint is cost as I’m retired and have to watch every penny.
I’m kind a worried at the beginning coz first time to use it. I read the instructions carefully & I deed it. So satisfied with the outcome, I ended applying it to my son’s car. And they are so happy with it. I also ordered another set for my other cars & thinking to put a second layer to my first car for more protection to the paint as I read on other peoples comments. So satisfying results
Now, I’m just an old retired fart that loves to clean and shine his truck once week. I live on the west side of Florida, and the people that live down here KNOWS what the sun can do to their vehicles especially when it has to sit outside 24/7 like mine. So I bought some Crystalline back in February/March. I fellow the instructions and what a difference, My truck looks like a mirror, I think I can almost shave myself now by looking at my shiny truck, lol. Good job Topcoat. Matter of fact, I was so impressed I ordered another Crystaleen. I’m going wait until the fall to apply the second round.
Over the moon, Crystaleen 7H preformed as well as if not better than the expensive ceramic coatings with only minimal effort and time to effectively apply Crystaleen 7H. The gloss achieved on my car is quite deep and smooth as glass. Great product, thank you!!!
I prepared the paint before using. But 100% satisfied with the product and will use again. I do a lot of detailing and would like a gallon of each . Stage 1 &2
Thank you, Steven!
I have been using F-11 on my 1999 Sea Ray 460 Sundancer for several years now and have been amazed at how GREAT it works. During the summer boating season it repels dirt, spider droppings and the always present bird "bombs". With F11 applied, the foreign "elements" are easy to rinse off without soap and do not leave a stain in the gel coat. After rain storms we don't see water spots and washing the boat is a breeze. Not to mention, we have the shiniest boat in the marina. (Bonus!!) I decided to try Crystaleen this winter for the upcoming boating season to see how it compares. The application process is definitely different, being that it is 2 part vs F11. The concern I had was after applying step 1, then spraying on step 2 and combining the 2 parts, was I wiping too much of it off? After the light mixing with a towel I would wait 1 minute then buff per the instructions. I am assuming it worked because water repeals off it amazingly well and the luster ands shine are very deep. I am ordering my 2nd kit so that I can get 2 or 3 applications on it before we launch in May. On my transom and near the water outlet on the hull, I have applied 4 coats. These are areas that get more abuse than others and I spend a lot of time during the summer keeping them clean. I hope Crsytaleen will solve this problem. Some pics of the boat and the incredible shine it gets from Crystaleen and F11.
Hey William! We are so glad to hear that you love the way F11 works on your boat, and that you are now giving Crystaleen a try! I see that you had a few questions about the Crystaleen and its application, so I am going to pass along your information to our technical specialist, Jay. He should be reaching out to you to help troubleshoot and help in any way you need!
I had an issue and I couldn't finish coating my truck, The Customer service rep took care of my issue ASAP. I finished putting 2 coats of the coating today and it looks great. Only time will tell how well it holds up but it does look great right now. Not as easy to apply on the painted parts of the truck as the glass and plastic. Took a little bit to spread the stage 2 coating and a breeze to buff to a great shine. Bill
We are so glad to hear that our customer service team was able to help resolve your issue, and you could finish coating your truck!
I ordered a CRYSTALEEN® kit while waiting on our 21 GMC Sierra Denali to be shipped and delivered. I washed the vehicle using Dawn dish washing detergent, clay barred the entire vehicle to remove any rail dust from the finish (surprised at how little foreign matter was on the finish), wiped the entire vehicle down with 91% alcohol. I followed the label instructions applying stage 1 to a small area followed with stage 2 immediately, and then hand buffing with the supplied microfiber cloth within a few minutes. The kit supplied spray head for Stage 1 failed after about 30% through applying the product. I was able to complete application by dribbling stage 1 liquid on the suppled microfiber applicator. The buffing process was much more difficult than anticipated. The microfiber cloth liked to roll up and the amount of effort required was quite a lot. I have used F11 for years and expected the level of effort to be about the same which is probably not a reasonable expectation on my part. After letting the mostly buffed out CRYSTALEEN® set for a day I went back over the entire vehicle with a fresh microfiber towel and that seemed to be an easier buff giving it a better shine and feel. The CRYSTALEEN® does not feel slick like F11, but does seem to shed water like a well oiled duck. I have only rinsed off the rear fenders of the truck so far and the dirt and water seem to flow right off with little mechanical effort. Pretty impressed so far, but time will tell in a couple of years. I am generally pleased with the outcome and plan to use this product on my new C8 Corvette when it arrives this spring. I reached out to Topcoat concerning the failed sprayer and level of buffing effort and their customer service was outstanding.
I am sorry to hear that the spray nozzle was acting up and was a little more difficult to buff, but I am so glad to hear that our customer service team was able to help you. We are very happy to hear you did love the results, and as always please reach back out to us if there are any more questions or concerns!
