HPS in Your Home

Something that many TopCoat® products have in common is a water-based formula. That makes them safe and effective to use on a wide variety of surfaces. For this reason, most of our products can be used in a number of different ways well beyond your vehicle.

However, all the formulas are a little different, and this means that some are slightly more appropriate for specific uses than others.

For example, while you can use F11® anywhere, it is most effective on your vehicles.

HPS™ is another good example. It was our original product, and it works great for vehicles, but it is amazing for use around the home.

Why is HPS™ better for home cleaning?

  • HPS is quick and easy to buff in, giving the surface an amazing restorative shine.
  • HPS is also more forgiving, meaning that rather than highlighting surface imperfections, it will help mask them and get the surface looking like new.

You see, a professional product like F11® is designed to bring out these imperfections. This allows the detailer to see them on the surface, so they know what areas need more work and can give those issues special attention. This may not be exactly what you’re looking for when you want to give a quick clean to a surface like a countertop or dining room table.

A perfect example of this would be water spots on your stainless steel dishwasher.

F11® is designed to help you see the water spots on your vehicles finish so that you can address them specifically.

HPS won’t show the water spots this way. Instead, it will get your stainless steel back to its original shine. HPS will minimize the visual impact of the water spots, as well as remove dirt, grime, and fingerprints.

Other benefits to HPS™ as a home cleaning product

  • HPS will not leave your surfaces as slick as F11® will. A slick finish is great for a car, as it prevents road dirt and debris from sticking to the finish.
  • HPS still helps prevent the build-up of dirt and grime AND makes it easier to simply wipe away when it does appear, but it doesn’t leave your surface overly slick. This helps makes HPS safer for areas that you place items on (like countertops, or tables), or that you tend to lean or place your hands on!
  • The protective coating that HPS provides will also last much longer inside the home, and the coating layers, so the more you use it the better the coating will protect and restore the surface you are treating. The side benefit to this is that the surfaces become easier to clean the more layers are present. This makes it great for surfaces that get particularly grimy or dirty, like the exhaust hood of your oven, or ceiling fan blades.
  • The dirt and dust (or grease) that accumulates there is much easier to wipe off when you consistently use HPS to clean it.

HPS™ is a safe, effective multi-surface solution

The water-based formula was already mentioned above, but now we should go into it in a little more detail. A water-based formula is great for several reasons, but there are a couple of benefits that are particularly helpful around the home.

No harmful chemicals

  • The water-based formula has no harmful chemical additives or VOCs. This means that it is safe to use around your family and pets.
  • It’s also safe to use in tight or enclosed spaces with less ventilation because it’s not putting off potentially toxic pollutants into the air.
  • As a bonus, this means that HPS is also eco-friendly!

Safe and effective for all surfaces

HPS’s water-based formula means that it can be used on every surface in your home. This is in contrast to products that use alcohol or some other chemical as base that can dry out or damage certain materials.

This means that you can smoothly transition from cleaning your bathroom mirrors to your sink countertop, to your wooden dining room table to your granite kitchen countertop without switching to a different product or cleaning method!

It’s also great to use on:

  • Windows
  • Electronic screens (televisions, computers, etc)
  • Cloth/fabric
  • Furniture
  • Cooktops (glass or metal)
  • Even plastic and rubber surfaces

This saves you a bunch of money, as HPS can replace a whole cabinet’s worth of specialized cleaning supplies. So give HPS a try around your home. We think you’ll love the results!
